YOKA owner Carla Kloosterhuis has always been inspired by fashion, and its ability to transcend culture and communities around the world. From the runways to the subways, Carla has always seen fashion as an intricate pattern of places, people and passions. As a teen growing up in Holland, Carla spent her days exploring both of her mother's 2 stores filled with Dutch and Danish designers - fabrics, textures and silhouettes she later recognized as unique in her travels.

In 2003, YOKA opened its flagship store in the Beaches. As Toronto’s exclusive retail boutique for all fashions Dutch, YOKA pairs consummate customer care with fabulous design. Carla’s commitment to supporting Dutch designers has led her to introduce international brands such as D.E.P.T, Gsus and Sandwich into Toronto’s landscape.
